Find and verify reports

The headteacher needs a month-end review with receivables, stock and operational progress. Schoolbooks’ working reports live in the modules that own those records. The standalone Reports launcher does not currently render a consolidated reporting workspace; use the destinations below.

Run a review you can reproduce

  1. Confirm the organization, workspace and reporting question.
  2. Open the report in its owning module and set the period and available filters.
  3. Check whether the view describes current operational state or posted financial activity.
  4. Open representative source records and reconcile totals before sharing conclusions.
  5. If exporting, check the export job completed and retain the period and filters alongside the file.

Interpret totals and exceptions

A draft, submitted, cancelled or reversed record can affect a view differently. Do not compare an unfiltered register count with a financial report total and assume they measure the same thing.

Check dates and currencies before combining amounts. A missing source may be outside the selected period, inaccessible to your role or not yet posted; inspect the record before changing accounting data to force agreement.
